TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 

The closing date for entries is July 16 2021 at 9pm. Please ensure you complete your entries by this date. Please complete all sections of the form, entries that are incomplete will not be accepted.

Any entries after July 16 2021 at 9pm will only be accepted at the discretion of Tech South West. 

By entering the awards you automatically get free membership to Tech South West. You can cancel your membership at any time by emailing hello@techsouthwest.co.uk

Companies based anywhere in the world are welcome to enter the awards providing they are delivering a significant level of operations in the South West.

Please ensure you read the criteria for the awards you are entering. Remember to use evidence such as quotes, figures, statistics and include as much information as possible on your entry form.

The organisers do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage of any entry.

The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into or feedback given regarding the selection of shortlisted nominations or winners.

Tech South West reserve the right to publish shortlisted entries and winners.

Tech South West reserve the right to extend the closing deadline, amend category titles or remove award categories should the entries received not reach the required standard.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF JUDGING

The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into or feedback given regarding the selection of shortlisted nominations or winners.

Shortlisted entrants will be contacted by email (on the address provided in the application) on the shortlist announcement date.

In the interest of transparency, judges are ineligible to enter.

Judges will not allow personal relationships or experiences to influence judging marks or decisions and their judging will be impartial and based on the standard of entry, campaign, organisation or product.

Judges will declare any perceived conflict of interest to the event organisers ahead of reading any entries.

All judging discussions are confidential and will not be shared or discussed with anyone outside of the judging panel ahead of the ceremony or thereafter.

Judges will not share confidential material, details of judging discussions or entries with anyone. Judges will securely delete all judging materials immediately after the judging period.

Judges can only access entries that they have been provided by the Tech South West team to score.

Judges will not notify anyone that they have won or that they are shortlisted ahead of the official announcements.

Judges will not provide any feedback to entrants as to why they have not won or were not shortlisted – all requests for feedback must be directed to Tech South West.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF TICKET PURCHASES/EVENT

Cancellations are permitted 28 days or more in advance of any event. No cancellations are acceptable after 28 days prior to the event date, and therefore no refunds are payable after this point. However, a substitute delegate or guest can be nominated in replacement.

All requests for cancellations or substitutions must be made in writing to hello@techsouthwest.co.uk

Where circumstances force cancellation of the event in its entirety, Tech South West will offer a full refund to each paying delegate / guest within 14 days of the cancellation.

 

Covid-19

In the event of circumstances connected to Covid-19 preventing the event from taking place as planned, these are our terms and conditions:

The Tech South West Awards will take place in full accordance with government regulations and with the safety of delegates and Tech South West staff as a priority. 

Should circumstances require that the event be moved from a physical event to an online experience, a full refund will be offered and a separate ticketing policy enacted.

 

Force Majeure

Tech South West will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond the reasonable control of that party.

Such causes include, but are not limited to: Covid-19, power failure, Internet Service Provider failure, acts of God, epidemic, pandemic, civil unrest, fire, flood, droughts, storms, earthquakes, collapse of buildings, explosion or accident, acts of terrorism, acts of war, governmental action, any law or any action taken by a government or public authority, including without limitation imposing an export or import restriction, quota or prohibition, or any other event that is beyond the control of the party in question.

Where an event can be postponed, this will be taken into account and any investment already made will be transferred to the new date. Should a physical event not be possible due to causes out of our control, this event may be transferred to a virtual online event.

 

Payment Terms

If your payment is successful, you will receive an automatic email confirmation to the email address you specified when placing your order detailing your purchase. If you do not receive this email, please contact hello@techsouthwest.co.uk

Full payment for event ticket sales are strictly 30 days from invoice date or 7 days in advance of the event date, whichever is sooner.

 

Filming & Photography

There may be a professional photographer and video production taking place during the event. Attendees consent to filming and sound recording as members of the audience. Photographs taken at the event are the intellectual property of Tech South West and its event partners and will be used in promotion and marketing after the event.

 

Trophies

All trophies are inspected prior to the awards ceremony. Once these trophies have been handed over, you are responsible for the trophy from thereon. Tech South West will not cover the cost of a replacement due to damages during or post the award ceremony. Should you require a replacement trophy, please contact hello@techsouthwest.co.uk
