Tech Gathering Programme Unveiled

The Tech Gathering schedule for 2020 has been released.

The series began earlier this year in response to the lockdown and the loss of human connection in the tech sector brought about by Covid-19.

Although the sector showed great resilience, with organisations moving to remote working and virtual solutions with relative seamlessness, the loss of human contact and face-to-face collaboration did leave a hole.

The Tech Gathering series aims to address this by giving the Tech South West community a free monthly platform to connect, share knowledge and showcase ongoing projects. It’s a mix of topics and 1-1 networking.

The full schedule for the series can be viewed below, and includes a range of topics including ‘The End of Geography’ – what is the opportunity for the South West tech sector in a post-Covid world, can we really do business with anyone, anywhere, and at the same time attract the best talent and companies to join us. ‘Tech and the Economy’ will explore the relationship between the tech sector and the wider South West economy, funding and investment, what the Government should be doing, and what we should be doing, in tough times.

We’ll be adding new events in the coming weeks.

We welcome contributions from across our community. If you would like to take part in any future Tech Gathering events, please contact dan.pritchard@techsouthwest.co.uk – ideas for topics relevant to our members please!
