8th June 2026 | Howden HQ, London
The June 2026 South West London Showcase took place at Howden in central London during London Tech Week, bringing South West founders, investors and partners together to champion the region’s high‑growth potential. The morning featured founder workshops on investment, funding pathways and innovation strategy, giving teams practical insight into what capital was looking for and how to navigate the funding landscape. The afternoon moved into live pitching, with two rounds of PitchUp Live and panel discussions highlighting the region’s investment landscape and emerging opportunities.
Centred on the theme Sovereignty & Opportunity in a Fractured World, the event showcased the South West’s growing national importance across defence, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and applied AI — demonstrating why the region was not waiting to be discovered, but ready to be backed.

At our Innovation Showcase in May, investors and entrepreneurs gathered at Microsoft's London offices to discover the South West’s most promising startups.
The event brought together 50 investors, entrepreneurs and tech leaders to highlight the region's cutting-edge innovation.
Steve Race MP, keynote speaker, said: “The Showcase was a fantastic opportunity to bring some of the most promising start-ups from across the region together with heavyweight and national investors. The South West is home to a thriving start-up and scale-up economy because we have all the right ingredients - the foundational institutions that attract and retain talent, a growing ecosystem of organisations that are bringing clusters together, and a track record of success."
"The South West has real momentum and the data is starting to reflect that. There is still work to do in connecting the right businesses to the right capital at the right stage — but the pipeline is stronger, the evidence base is clearer, and the region is moving in the right direction."
