Mental health resources
Keeping on top of your mental health as a founder or business leader can be challenging, especially in the tech industry.
Emotional and mental fatigue from work can lead to stress, feelings of inadequacy and imposter syndrome, low productivity and damaged professional and personal relationships.
In 2022, The Burnout Index surveyed 32,644 tech professionals across 33 countries and found:
- 2 in 5 surveyed workers showed a "high risk" of burnout, with 42% of these considering quitting their role in the next 6 months
- 62% of tech professionals feel physically and emotionally drained due to the demands of their job
- 33% of the tech workforce feel inefficient in their job
"Self-care and self-management are critical for all leaders. If you don’t look after
yourself, you won’t be able to look after your team (or the work)."

Mental health matching
Paranimo, a Tech South West breakout company, was set up with the belief that everyone should get access to the right mental health support and technology can empower people to take control of their mental wellbeing.
The company took part in the Tech South West Growth Programme in 2021, before growing through investment from Innovate UK and other investors.
The Paranimo platform matches vulnerable people to the right support, reducing the time and complexity when seeking that support, whilst using real time data insights to empower people's mental health.
Members of Growth Forge have access to the Paranimo platform at no extra cost. That means we take zero commission for helping members find the right support for them.
