Taking South West tech overseas
If you are operating or looking to launch and expand overseas, or seeking overseas investment, then the GO Global Programme 2022 by Tech South West is for you.
With expertise from global financial consultancy RSM, Headline Partner for GO Global, and support from the Department for International Trade, we’ve developed a comprehensive programme for busy tech leaders across the region.
GO Global is free and designed to help South West tech firms break into new international markets, or hone their strategy if they are already operating overseas, taking companies through the essential ‘building blocks’ of an overseas strategy, avoiding the pitfalls and maximising the opportunities.
The 2022 programme focuses on the USA, and features insight from RSM and successful tech firms who have already expanded into the US market. Other international markets will be covered in future versions of the programme.
Topics include scaling strategies, group structure, mergers and acquisitions, setting up wholly owned subsidiaries abroad, tax obligations and compliance, exporting goods and services, licensing and franchising, forming strategic partnerships and overseas talent acquisition.
Tech South West will also be working with RSM and partners to carry out a regional survey to understand the priorities, challenges and support needs for companies operating overseas, or considering moving into new international markets. This will feed into a new report published by Tech South West and RSM later in the year.
Companies can join at any time. Once you have registered your interest via the button above, we will be in touch with more information about how to get involved.
“Technology has brought businesses together and allowed us to socialise, play and do business digitally in ways that did not exist before.
“Expanding overseas can include many pitfalls including compliance with in-country legislation, procuring a robust supply chain and finding the right people. At RSM we use our experience and expertise to help our clients navigate these challenges and we propose solutions that allow the board to focus on the key priority of growing their business and team.”
