Esports – what is it?
If you haven’t heard of esports then it’s time to get on board – and fast. The next generation is turning esports into one of the most rapidly growing industries worldwide. With large scale competitions taking place across the world and big prize money to be won, it is watched by millions of fans.
Esports (or electronic sports) is a term used to describe competitive video gaming, where players are pitted against each other to win multiplayer games. Professional teams usually have coaches, analysts and managers who help to get the most out of the players and organise strategies. Games regularly played in these competitions are Rocket League, League of Legends and Fortnite.
