We’re here to help support, connect and showcase the tech sector across the South West - including Cornwall and the isles of Scilly, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Bristol, and Gloucestershire. If that’s you then get involved!
Tech South West is run in partnership with local clusters including Digital Plymouth, TechSPARK, Software Cornwall, Digital Somerset, TechExeter and Silicon South.
We offer a platform for members, the region’s technology sector, education, government, businesses and other organisations keen to engage with the sector and support its growth.
We are the only member organisation dedicated to supporting and working with the whole of the technology sector across the South West of England.
2018
Tech South West is born
Tech South West is founded by tech marketing agency Program (then Astley Media) with support from local cluster organisations.
2019
The first Tech South West Awards
The first Tech South West Awards event is held in Exeter in November 2019. The event will become the annual flagship of the Tech South West calendar.
2020
Lockdown
New initiatives are rolled out to support tech organisations through lockdown and the pandemic. Monthly Tech Gatherings and other online events see the membership swell by 30%.
2021
Growth Programme kicks off
Starting life as the StartUp Studio accelerator programme for early stage founders, the Growth Programme will later encompass the ScaleUp Studio and Ones to Watch programmes with support from key Growth Partners.
2022
Tech South West+ launched
For the first time, organisations can join Tech South West at company level and enjoy enhanced benefits including access to Peer Groups, the Tech Leadership Forum, the Tech Hub Pass and more.
